The Gangmaster Licensing Authority

The Gangmaster Licensing Authority (GLA) (www.gla.gov.uk) was set up to protect workers from exploitation in the agriculture forestry, horticulture, shellfish gathering and food processing and packaging industries. The Farm Relief has been a license holder since November 2007 and fully complies with all licensing conditions.

It relates to all labour providers who supply labour to the UK. It is an offence to operate as a labour provider without a license or to use an unlicensed labour provider.
